Why should I use a clay towel?

You should use a clay towel because it cleans your car's paint, so that it becomes completely free of dirt and wonderfully smooth. By being completely smooth, your wax, paint sealant or ceramic coating will last as long as possible, and also repel dirt and water as best as possible.

If your car's paint is rough or sounds coarse, i.e. not smooth, dirt will also stick better to your car, in short, it will get dirty faster.

How do I use the clay towel?

It's quite simple to use the clay towel. Mix a wash bucket with fresh water, add car shampoo, and make it foam. Dip the clay towel in it, so it becomes well-filled with water and soap.

If it's the first time you're using it, we recommend using it on your car's windows first, as it can be a bit too coarse the very first time it's used. By using it on the glass first, it becomes less coarse and the correct strength.

Simply glide the clay towel over your car's paint, back and forth. You will find that it sounds coarse, like sandpaper, which will quickly disappear. Continue until the entire car is smooth to the touch and doesn't sound coarse.

Note: There must always be lubricant, i.e. it must be wet, when a clay towel is used.

My car has rust spots, can I use a clay towel to remove them?

You can easily remove rust spots, or better known as industrial fallout, with this clay towel. However, we recommend using an industrial fallout remover like D-Tox ONE, as it makes the job much faster and easier.

Can you get by with only using a clay towel? Absolutely, but it will take considerably longer than if you simply use an industrial fallout remover first.

I have used tar remover, can I use my clay towel afterwards?

You can definitely use your clay towel after using tar remover. However, you should be aware that tar remover dissolves the synthetic surface that the clay towel has. Therefore, we always recommend spraying a citrus-based snow foam or pre-wash on the car, letting it sit for a few minutes, and rinsing it off before using the clay towel.
