Optimum - The Mother of Leave-In Shampoo!
Based in Memphis, Tennessee, Optimum Polymer Technologies was founded in 2001 by Dr. David Ghodoussi, who prior to founding OPT had worked in the automotive industry focusing on polymer and automotive paint technology, with a particular focus on clearcoats. With his advanced knowledge in this area, he started Optimum Polymer Technologies.
Compared to other brands in the car care industry, OPT's products are developed from a scientific background, which makes their products incredibly good at cleaning and protecting modern clearcoat painted surfaces.
Today, OPT is known worldwide for their No Rinse and Opticoat products. No Rinse (ONR), which is undoubtedly the best-selling product in their line-up, has completely changed how you can safely wash your car's surface, without the use of a water hose, and with very little water.
ONR is also called the mother of all leave-in shampoos, which are also available in a Wash & Wax version, with wax in the formula, so you don't necessarily need to pull out a spray wax to protect the surface after an ONR wash.
Synergy - The products work together
If you have seen some of Optimum's or The Rag Company's videos with Yvan Lacroix, you probably already know a little about synergy. Synergy is when products or processes work together in harmony, which is exactly what makes OPT very unique.
They have developed almost all of their products to work together, without one or the other having to be removed first in order to use the next.
Over the years, they have created some revolutionary methods of how to make your car wash and car care more efficient, but also how to use fewer products to achieve the same results.
Here are just some of the examples, use ONR to wash the car, then use a clay cloth, and then spray Opti Seal, or Car Wax on the surface, spread it out and dry.
Now you have washed the surface, cleaned it, and protected it, in a very short process.
The same trick also works great with their polishes. Here you can go directly from using Intensive Polish to Hyper Polish without removing the previous polish, and use ONR to remove the polish.
