Shiny Garage Rinse Free - Rinse-free car shampoo

Rinse Free from Shiny Garage is the new kid on the block in the rinse-free car shampoo category, and what is a little different from the other rinse-free car shampoos is that it leaves the car with a hydrophobic surface, which makes it both smooth and with extra shine.

You get a low-foaming shampoo based on polymer technology, which means that the dirt on your car's surface is encapsulated and removed in a safer way than traditional car shampoo. By using this method, you also use less water and shorten the time it takes to wash a car.

A product that can do more than just rinse-free car shampoo

Besides the fact that Rinse Free can of course be used for rinse-free car washing, it can also do a little more. It can also be used as a substitute for car washing with water, also called Waterless Wash. Waterless Wash is simply spraying the mixed liquid over the car's surface and wiping gently with a microfiber cloth, which is constantly turned over to avoid dragging dirt around on the paintwork.

The same mixture can even be used as a glass cleaner, and for maintenance interior cleaning, and of course as a Quick Detailer to remove greasy fingerprints and very light dirt, such as dust, from the car's paint.

Mix just 35ml Rinse Free to 1 litre of demineralised water to keep it on the shelf for longer. If you only need to use the whole mixture now and then, or change it often, you can also just use plain water.

The feature I love the most is that you can wash exactly where you want, when you want. You no longer have to worry about whether it's blazing sunshine outside, where you have to fight the intense heat, or whether it's raining.

You can stand in dry weather and wash your car in complete peace, as there is minimal dripping when you use a rinse-free car shampoo. There are so many ways to do this, which is why I love rinse-free.

I almost forgot to mention... It's great for removing polish, whether it's the fine or coarse kind. It's actually my preferred method as you don't have to ''scrub'' the cloth or have it roll up. Just wring out a microfiber cloth, wipe, and use a towel.

Washing in high sunshine

Although it is not the most optimal way to wash your car in bright sunlight, it is certainly possible. There are roughly two methods, one of which is to wash the entire car, then wash one panel at a time, drying it afterwards before moving on to the next panel.

The reason for this method is that it is possible that the polymer in the soap leaves ''polymer crystals'' which can be easily removed by simply rewashing them with Rinse Free, however, it is certainly not my recommended method, but it is possible.

The other method that I personally prefer is to wash one panel at a time, where you intentionally go a little beyond the next panel, take your microfiber towel, and wipe off the panel that you just washed.

Then continue washing the next panel, drying it afterwards, until you have reached the entire area.

Guidance

Please note that when using Rinse Free Car Shampoo , you can still do a pre-wash, or spray Rinse Free on the surface before you start washing. Rinse Free simply means that you do not have to rinse after you have finished washing.

If the car is sufficiently dirty, it is recommended that at a minimum Rinse Free be sprayed over the surface with a pressure sprayer to soften the dirt, or even better with a pre-wash such as Snow Foam Fruit, or Pre Wash.

• If the car is very dirty - Use pre-wash or spray Rinse Free on first
• Mix 30-50 ml Rinse Free in a wash bucket with 5 liters of water - Stir it around with your hand so that it mixes with the water
• Dip your wash mitt or sponge, then pick it up and wring it out until it just drips a little.
• Wash one panel at a time and dip the wash mitt/sponge in the water regularly.
• Dry with a quality microfiber towel.
